History

Our academic unit, which was decided to be founded as a college in 1982, could only start its undergraduate (four-year) education in 1986-1987 due to the lack of physical space and lack of teaching staff. The school, which started with 27 students, admitted students for the second education (night education) for the first time in 1992-1993. Since 1997-1998, the school has started to serve in its new building with a closed area of 9000 m2. Between 1986 and 2011, education was provided in three different programs: “Accommodation Management”, “Travel Management” and “Food and Beverage Management”. Since 2012, it has been operating under the name of Tourism Faculty with a 4 main departments as "Tourism Management", "Gastronomy and Culinary Arts", "Tourism Guidance", and "Recreation Management".
